Senior Graphic Designer 

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world.  

AHRI is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to create high‑quality visual assets that support marketing, communications, and brand initiatives. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Brand Management, this role produces compelling digital, print, presentation, and video content aligned with AHRI brand standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design digital and print materials, including ads, social and web graphics, event visuals, and templates 

  • Create polished PowerPoint presentations and Word documents 

  • Develop short promotional videos; source and edit photos and video 

Qualifications 

  • BFA in Graphic Design from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience 

  • 12 years of professional graphic design experience, including 4 years in a senior role 

  • Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) 

  • 5 years of experience creating PowerPoint and Word templates
     

Please note that candidates will be asked to create a sample graphic as a part of the interview and selection process. The work location for this position is our office in  Arlington, VA. Please note that candidates local to the Northern Virginia/DC-Metro area will be given preference. 

AHRI offers a full benefits package which includes health insurance, matching contributions to an HSA plan and  401k retirement plan, a flexible work schedule,  and a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $139,000 based upon relevant experience.    

AHRI does not have a hybrid work program; however, subject to supervisor approval, AHRI employees are eligible for participation in AHRI's alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment and a 90-day appraisal at a level of meets expectations. This program allows employees to work from an alternate location up to two days a week.
