AHRI is seeking a Research Coordinator to join our Government and Regulatory Affairs team. The Research Coordinator is responsible for performing complex administrative and managerial functions that require the use of independent judgment and discretion. This position will provide primary support to the Vice President of Research and interact with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) manufacturers and researchers.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling, project coordination, agenda preparation, contract management, government reporting preparation and composition of correspondence.  Duties include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Provide support to Vice President of Research on internal and external activities
  • Prepare reporting documents for projects funded by federal and state government
  • Manage assigned AHRI and Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology Institute (AHRTI) research projects and provide project summaries
  • Maintain and organize AHRI and AHRTI contracts associated with research projects
  • Provide administrative support to assigned committees and product sectors
  • Schedule and attend meetings, prepare meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree (four- year college or university), engineering is a plus
  • Two years of experience performing the role of an Administrative Assistant, Coordinator, or similar role
  • One or more years of experience in research project management
  • Science and/or Engineering background preferred
  • Previous experience with government funded projects preferred
  • Knowledge about and/or passion for the HVAC industry and technologies is a plus


AHRI offers a full benefits package with alternate workplace options and a friendly work environment. The salary hiring range for this position is $62,500-73,000.
