The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. AHRI has an opening for a Technical Analyst. The Technical Analyst role is critical to support the Product Management team and ensure the business requirements are accurately translated to technical requirements, provide day-to-day decision support for their team, and ensure the final delivered product is validated.  The Technical Analyst is internally focused on the team and implementation for both regulated and non-regulated products.  This includes coordinating activities for AHRI data submission and other data maintenance needs as required to meet client needs and domestic, state, and international organization regulatory requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:
  • Write scripts and query results from MS SQL Server database, perform data audits, and map data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software application issues for customers, working with other analysts, product managers, software developers, and business partners as needed
  • Support the Product Manager in developing features in collaboration with key stakeholders and transform them into user stories that are granular enough for a sprint.
  • Ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical requirements.
  • Manage scope, project, and client priorities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to define, design, and accept features.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university/college. Four or more years of work experience in an analyst or higher position may be considered in lieu of degree

AHRI offers a full benefits package with a flexible work schedule and a friendly work environment. The salary range for this position is $87,162 - $107,697 based upon experience

The work location for this position is Arlington, VA. Subject to supervisor approval, AHRI employees are eligible for participation in AHRI's alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment and a 90-day appraisal at a level of meets expectations.
