The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world.
AHRI has an opening for a Director, Software Development. The Director of Software Development is responsible and accountable for all software development projects within AHRI’s portfolio and leading the greater development team in all development project matters. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, work ethics, be able to establish corporate benchmark of excellence, and deliver products on-time and on-budget. The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $230,000 dependent upon relevant experience.

- Accomplishes team and individual goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
- Directs assigned development resources in execution of project plans and sprint activities
- Works with CIO to monitor all operations and progress to ensure alignment of practice to organization and industry goals
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or comparable field
- Ten or more years of professional experience in software development
- Five years acting as a practice manager, program manager or other applicable experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server
- Five years supervising a professional team of software engineers
- Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Experience in developing software applications
